Wind Power

To get anything like the capacity of energy we presently require, in conjunction with solar systems, we need to harness the power of the wind. With what seems to be the best idea economically, the construction of windfarms, we face a challenge with peoples conception of their “beauty”. Some people love them, some people think they are the most hideous eyesore known to man, and furthermore that they contribute towards killing wildlife and are bad for ecosystems. Some solution has been sought with developing offshore, the benefits of better wind conditions also add to this as a good solution. The fact remains though that the planning stage for projects such as these is hindering their rapid deployment, perhaps rightly so, perhaps nuclear power would be better? Although somehow I don’t think so. Whatever you think, we need to get on and build this wind capacity worldwide and fast, and to find a solution where the least amount of people and ecosytems are upset and affected.
